Learn Some More

Here are some more mistakes I noted in last week's presentations. Have a look and learn something.

Mr. Mario > Mr. Leto
First names don't take titles. Use the surname with titles like Mr., Ms., Dr., etc.

There is much information > There is a lot of information
The adverb much is usually used in questions and negative sentences. Use a lot of in affirmative sentences.

I will presentation > I will present
The word presentation is a noun. The verb is present.

two advices > two pieces of advice
The noun advice is uncountable and does not take the plural s. Instead, use the counter, which is piece. The same applies to the uncountable noun information.

when I go to there > when I go there
The word there is an adverb and is not preceded by the preposition to. The same applies to these words: here, somewhere, everywhere, shopping, downtown, upstairs, downstairs, and home.

And here's a final reminder: 10-week plans are due on Friday the 9th and Wednesday the 14th. Details, details, details!
